Before you print
How big should it be?
Rule of thumb: printed width ≥ scanning distance ÷ 10. Pick the surface above and the studio sizes the code for you, then checks the printed module size against what a press can actually hold.
Questions people actually ask
A plain code (like SAVE20) is best for in-store redemption — the scan shows the code as text to read out or type at a till. A link is best for online offers, taking customers straight to a landing page or pre-filled checkout.
Their phone displays the text exactly as you typed it. There is no redirect and nothing to host — the coupon code itself lives inside the QR pattern.
Not in the QR code itself — a static code never expires. Enforce expiry where the coupon is redeemed: your POS or e-commerce platform decides whether SAVE20 is still valid, and a linked offer page can simply be taken down.
No. UseQR codes are free forever with no signup and no scan limits — the code is generated in your browser and works standalone.
