Before you print
How big should it be?
Rule of thumb: printed width ≥ scanning distance ÷ 10. Pick the surface above and the studio sizes the code for you, then checks the printed module size against what a press can actually hold.
Questions people actually ask
Any UPI app — Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, and every bank's own app. The code follows the NPCI UPI Linking specification, the same upi://pay format printed on shop counters across India.
Leave it empty for a shop counter — the customer types the amount, and one printed code covers every sale. Set a fixed amount for a specific product, a fee, or a donation tier so there is nothing to mistype.
No money ever touches UseQR. The code contains only your UPI ID and name; payments move directly between the customer's app and your bank via UPI. The code is also generated entirely in your browser.
At least 4 × 4 cm for phones held close, and 10 × 10 cm or more for a stand read from across the counter. Print with dark squares on a light background and leave a white margin around the code.
It never expires — a static UPI code works as long as your UPI ID is active. UseQR is free forever, with no signup and no watermark, so reprints cost you only paper.
