QR codes for construction sites
Construction QR codes solve the wrong-revision problem: a code on every drawing's title block points at the latest issue, so a printed sheet can announce its own staleness. Add induction codes at the gate, inspection tags on plant, and snag reporting with the zone prefilled.
The wrong-revision problem
Building from a superseded drawing is a classic cause of rework: the printed set in the site cabin goes stale the moment a revision is issued. A code in every drawing's title block, pointing at that drawing's page in the document system, gives anyone holding a print a five-second check: scan, compare revision letters, and the sheet announces its own staleness. The URL carries the drawing number, never the revision:

Inductions at the gate
A code on the gate signage linking the induction booking or pre-induction video means subcontractors arrive with the paperwork done rather than queueing at the office. Plant and equipment tags
Every item of plant needs its inspection history findable at the machine — the standard asset-tagging pattern with the asset ID in the URL, linking the inspection log and report-a-fault form. Site conditions destroy paper labels: mud, impact, pressure-washing. Use engraved or etched tags on fixed plant and heavy-duty weatherproof stickers on hired kit, placed somewhere wipeable — a code under dried mud scans again after a wipe; a torn one never does.
